The BEST tacos anywhere near here. I promise. Trust me. Stop reading and go here. Seriously.... Go.
I passed by this place this morning, figured to try it out. It was just choking. They got high quality homemade food, very generious portions and reasonable prices. Both ladies were there, very friendly with great customer service. This is by far my favorite Mexican food.
The food and the service is always excellent! I went for taco Tuesday and again on Wednesday. I would definitely recommend this place!
Such an amazing place! Delicious food, super friendly staff, and fast service! Highly recommend it!! Definitely try the aguas frescas, and the loaded fries are to die for, I definitely will be coming back! And also, very affordable prices!
Bet you don't know Sheila's the Biggest Bestest Mexican Bakery in Metro Detroit with 4 locations. Detroit, Melvindale, Waterford and Pontiac making the very best Mexican Bakery goods. Number one Tres Leches Cake they sell thousands each month, Melvindale open 5 years has Bakery, Meats and Restaurant that packs the place daily. Taco Tuesday only 13 Bucks dine in or take out gets you 10 Tacos, traditional in two Corn Tortillas topped with Onions and Cilantro. We ordered ten half Campacano mixed Steak and Chorizo and Al Pastor OMG a must try. She had the large Steak n Cheese Quesadilla always a winner. I picked a outstanding Holloween style Concha that's Mexican Sweet Bread. A few dozen large takeout orders filled while eating inside, Yes very popular a place you must visit. Easy to find on Dix two blocks from Outer Drive. #sheilastaqueria #sheilasbakery @sheilastaqueria @sheilasbakery #tacotuesday #quesadilla #campachano #alpastor #tacos #downriverfriendseat Note from December 2018, So another addition to Mexican Town 2.0 Sheila's Bakery & Taqueria hey a Meat market too. A SW DETROIT favorite bakery brought all them great bakery goodies. After seeing a friend of mine going every Tuesday you know Taco Tuesday only a Buck each it's a Mexican Town 2.0 tradition since we now have more Authentic Mexican eating spots than SW DETROIT. Yes got 3 Campachano Tacos a mixture of Steak and Chorizo spot on delicious. Had Al Pastor topped Sopes (pronounced ‘so-pez’) are part of a special category of Latin American food called antojitos, the Mexican version of Spanish tapas. It means “little whim” or “little craving,” and, trust me, “craving” is the most appropriate word for these crispy, savory little treats. Also a Asada topped Huaraches, Like a giant, open-face taco, huaraches are oblong corn tortillas piled high with toppings—here it's tender steak, topped with grated cheese, salsa roja, sauteed steak, this classic street food OMG fabulous. She had a Torta Cubana outstanding delicious and a Mega Pollo Burrito WOWED so really good. Thanks Helen for the great service. Great food. I have to say I haven’t been one for true Mexican food but this was amazing.
The food was authentic Mexican the ambiance of the atmosphere was very relaxing with great music. I also bought some yolo salsa that is the best Adobe salsa ever. Check it out. The whole crew agreed on this place.
There are a number of taquerias on the area, but this one always is my number one go to! Some folks head over to Starbucks on way to work or for little afternoon break , I’m heading to Sheila’s for it all! Everything is so yummy, and the bakery is superb— definitely difficult not to leave without something a little sweet as well. Don’t forget the horchata!!!!
